"We will start Sunday with a walk together, focusing on the perception of place primarily through hearing. We will experiment with ways of listening, changes in perspective and specific listening to space. We will explain the basic principles of fieldwork, which we will use in our subsequent exploration of our surroundings. We will further improvise and develop with the materials we have collected. We will look at different approaches to collective improvisation and listening, with the sound experience of the field as our inspiration."
The workshop is open to anyone interested in sound and listening. No previous experience is necessary. You are encouraged to bring your own recording equipment and headphones, or a limited number can be borrowed on site.
