At the City Councillors’ Club in the Old Town Hall, we will talk, listen to each other, cook, and share a meal together with the collective Dobrošstvo / Czary Wary, and we will celebrate the launch of the newly created magazine!
У Клубі депутатів міста Брно у Старій ратуші будемо розмовляти, слухати одне одного, разом готувати та їсти з колективом Dobrošstvo / Czary Wary, а ще урочисто презентуємо наш новий журнал!
The magazine is published in collaboration between RSC and Ukrainian activists and collectives, in a limited print edition. An online version in Czech and Ukrainian will also be available. It features an interview with artist Alevtina Kakhidze and film director Tetiana Khodakivska about the situation of Ukrainian children abducted to re-education camps in the Russian Federation, as well as slogans and messages we created together during the May event Ať kvete sad nadějí/ Хай квітне сад надій. Through intermediaries, the messages also convey the lives and work of contemporary resistance movements Yellow Ribon and Zla Mavka, which have been active in the gradually occupied territories of Ukraine since 2014 and 2022. The magazine further includes a correspondence interview between veteran trade unionist and activist Fedyr Ustynov and trade union organiser Václav Drozd on the experiences of the trade union movement and labour rights in Ukraine and the Czech Republic. We will then conclude our shared evening with a music performance – more about the guests will be revealed in the event posts.
Журнал виходить друком обмеженим тиражем у співпраці RSC з українськими активістами та угрупованнями. Видання буде доповнене онлайн-версією чеською та українською мовами. У номері — інтерв’ю з мисткинею Алевтиною Кахідзе та режисеркою Тетяною Ходаківською про українських дітей, викрадених у перевиховні табори російської федерації; також — гасла та повідомлення, які ми спільно творили на квітневому заході Ať kvete sad nadějí/ Хай квітне сад надій. Звертаючись через посередників, нам розповідають про життя та свою діяльність в окупації сучасні партизанські рухи «Жовта стрічка» і «Зла мавка», які діють на окупованих з 2014 та 2022 року територіях України. Крім того, в журналі публікуємо розмову у формі листування між багаторічним профспілковим активістом та військовим Федором Устиновим та профспілковим організатором Вацлавом Дроздом про досвід профспілкового руху та прав працівників в Україні й Чехії. Вечір проведемо під музичний виступ — більше про учасників поступово розповімо на сторінці події.
The project Ať kvete sad nadějí / Хай квітне сад надій builds on the work of the volunteer initiative Resistance Support Club, which contributes to the material and technological support of the Ukrainian population, and in particular left-wing activists serving in the Ukrainian army. As part of connecting culture with activism, the collective organises benefit and educational events.
Проєкт «Хай квітне сад надій» постав із діяльності волонтерської ініціативи Resistance Support Club, яка долучається до матеріальної і технологічної підтримки українського населення та насамперед лівих активістів, які служать в українській армії. Поєднуючи культуру й активізм, колектив організовує благодійні та освітні заходи.
