Wed 17. 12. 2025, 18:00
Free entry

We will conclude the series of Collective Dreaming Club with a meeting on the theme of resilience and the potential of fostering it through fiction.

The series of the Collective Dreaming Club will conclude with a session dedicated to resilience and the potential of building it through fiction. We will prepare the body and mind for various future “liquid” narratives through a shared sleep workshop, and we will also focus on artistic approaches to working with assumptions, speculation, and shared experiences as specific somatic experiences and forms of resistance.

🌷 SCHEDULE:
6:00 PM — Doors open
6:15–7:30 PM — SOFT CORE: Rest & Digest (digestive lecture by Eva Priečková)
7:45–9:15 PM — Echoes of the Dream (artist talk & performance workshop by Aliaksandra Yakubovskaya)

👀 BIO:

Aliaksandra Yakubouskaya is a multimedia artist whose practice focuses on exploring interconnectedness and the nuances of the in-between. She works with the intangible qualities of bodies such as breath, collective dreaming, heartbeat, and intuitive perception, which she examines through collective performances. In her research, Aliaksandra uses interviews, non-verbal interactions, travel across various (not only) geographical regions, bodily practices, and technological experiments, which she often weaves together into multimedia spatial installations.
She is a co-founder and member of the artistic cluster 𝑂𝑈𝑇𝑆𝐼𝐷𝐸𝐼𝑁𝐼𝑁𝑆𝐼𝐷𝐸𝑂𝑈𝑇𝐼𝑁𝐒𝐼𝐷𝐸𝑂𝑈𝑇𝑂𝑈𝑇𝑆𝐼𝐷𝐸𝐼𝑁, whose primary interest lies in experimenting with new cosmologies and socio-environmental justice. The project explores the relationships between humans, technology, and nature, and supports collaboration among artists through a shared laboratory environment with a self-organized structure located on the Czech–German border. This collective practice includes thematic happenings, site-specific projects, and numerous sound-ecological approaches in which listening is a key way of “evolving” and adapting to one’s environment.

Eva Priečková (Berlin, Bratislava) is a dancer and dance-education lecturer at Študovňa – Soft Core. She earned her master’s degree from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and is currently a PhD candidate at JAMU in Brno. Under the name Eva Priečková / False Move, she organizes workshops, lectures, and events that combine movement experiences with critical thinking about the body and relationships. She is interested in dance across diverse communities, ecosomatics, rituals of grief and celebration, learning movement within and around oneself, and dancing outside traditional dance spaces. Eva has experience leading movement courses for various groups — social workers, the Roma minority, and seniors. She is particularly interested in the potential of dance education for social justice, interpersonal responsibility, and emancipation from the unconscious repetition of normative behaviour. For her, dance is an act of the impossibility to tame the body and mind, a curious observation of the world around us, imagination, fear, sensitive listening, and everything “in between” that cannot be expressed in words.

The program is curated by Jana Mikuš Hanzelová and Amálie Bulandrová as part of the year-long series Collective Dreaming Club, dedicated to various approaches to fiction and fantasy as strategies of anticipatory imagination.

Once a month, on a Wednesday, the Club of Councillors will be transformed into a clubhouse of collective dreaming, where art, activism, and academia coexist and create new imaginative connections. Throughout 2025, public gatherings will take place here, all linked by the shared practice of imagining more-than-real forms of the contemporary world. The program of each event is prepared in dialogue with invited guests, who personally guide participants through a form of collective dreaming emerging from their artistic or research practice.

City Councilor's Club space is not fully barrier-free, but we will do our best to make it accessible to everyone. If you have any specific needs, please let us know.
