The digestive tract is a complex, multi-organ system which proposes different types of movements in a particular order. It is a series of hollow organs joined in a long, twisting tube from the mouth to the anus. In this performance, we are dancing a score inspired by the actions of the digestive system. We are not only dancing the actions we know from the anatomy book, but also allow our dance to be influenced by the sensations and emotions different foods arouse in our body. We let our bio-organism lead the dance and thus become the ultimate impulse of our performance. Concept by Daphna Horenczyk. 𝓓𝓪𝓹𝓱𝓷𝓪 𝓗𝓸𝓻𝓮𝓷𝓬𝔃𝔂𝓴 – a dance artist based in Vienna. Since 2012 she has been an independent creator for stage and film. Her choreographic language is mainly based on contemporary pop culture and the use of irony and self-deprecating humour as critical tools to comment on social behavior.
Her work has been presented in various venues and festivals in Israel and Europe, such as MASH, Intimadance and Suzanne Dellal Center (IL), No Ballet, PAD Mainz and Schwere Reiter (DE), MAAT (PL), the National Theater of the Faroe Islands and more. In addition, she is performing as a dancer for the choreographers Anne Juren (FR/AT), Ceren Oran (TR/DE), Amanda Piña (CN/MX/AT), Anna Konjetzky (DE) and Ariel Cohen (IL) among others.
Daphna se narodila v Tel Avivu v roce 1987. Tančit začala když jí bylo 15 let. Profesionální tanec potom studovala v kibucu Ga’aton a dále pracovala jako tanečnice a vedoucí zkoušek. Po roce se přestěhovala do Salcburku, kde studovala performance a choreografii na Akademii experimentálního tance (SEAD). Během studia vytvořila tři díla, se kterými podnikla turné po Německu a Izraeli.

𝓙𝓸𝓵𝔂𝓪𝓷𝓮 𝓛𝓪𝓷𝓰𝓵𝓸𝓲𝓼 – is a dance artist based in Vienna. Originally from Montréal, she started her dance education at L’UQAM and graduated from the professional training program at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre in 2012. Since then, she has been working independently for a number of well established companies and choreographers from all over the world. Jolyane recently received the TanzQuartier Wien Scholarship and the TenderSteps Residency from Raw Matters. In Austria, she can be seen in the works of Magdalena Forster, Daphna Horenczyk, Dorian Kaufeisen, CieLaroque/Helene Weinzierl and VRUM Performing Arts Collective. Through movement, she is interested in expanding what she believes as possible, chasing ways of transcending the senses and exploring new paradigms of togetherness and responsiveness. She uses her dance practice as a catalyst for transformation.

Performance takes 20 minutes and is repeated in the loop from 8:30 to 9:30 pm.
