Ryoko Akama Bio is a sound artist, composer, performer, who approaches situations that magnify silence - time and space. Her works employ small and fragile objects such as paper balloons or glass bottles that may produce tiny occurrences embodying ‘almost nothing’ aesthetics. She co-organises ame and mumei publishing.
始末 (shimatsu) 02 is her second new solo performance series, shimatsu with contraptions made out of found objects and simple electronic devices. She creates a subtle, sometimes violently silent, listening situation. www.ryokoakama.com
