The event takes place as an accompanying programme to Pasi Mäkelä’s performance 🐻 FUGK 👺, presented on 14 May at 7:30 PM on the Cellar Stage of the Centre for Experimental Theatre.

The Brno-Berlin duo Petr Němec and Shu Chon explore the porous boundaries between human body, technology and the environment. Their collaboration functions as medium connecting living beings to seemingly imaginary worlds.

Petr utilizes sensors and transducers to map the movement of the room and turn the listeners body into prolonged ear of architecture. Shu complements this by acknowledging how listening within oneself correlates to the environment in non-linear ways, engaging not just sound but smell, touch, and body movement.

Petr Němec develops sound-based work across composition, performance, installation, and research. The portfolio brings together fixed media pieces, collaborative stage work, live situations, and technical experiments that connect listening with broader questions of image, text, embodiment, and environment.

Shu’s work mainly engages with auditory and visual perception, meanwhile exploring other sensory experiences, like smells, touch and body movement. They are interested in the human body, time perception and deep listening. Shu explores human existence and how life and art intersect, correlate, and interchange throughout a person’s lifespan. Utilize every day existence as inspiration - the surrounding, landscapes, events and personal encounters
